Aromatase Inhibitors

If you have breast cancer, aromatase inhibitors may be part of your treatment. Aromatase inhibitors are oral pills that you take daily. They block the production of hormones present in certain types of breast cancer.

Aromatase inhibitors have been shown to increase survival and to decrease risk of recurrence. They can be taken for several years.
