This presentation gives
you an overview of COVID-19. It also offers some practical steps you can take to stay healthy and to feel more in control. In addition to washing your hands, covering your mouth or nose when you cough or sneeze, and cleaning frequently touched surfaces,
- Maintaining social distance (limit contact with other people)
- Keeping up heart-healthy habits
- Taking your medications as directed
- Knowing when to call for help, taking advantage of telemedicine and asking questions
- Keeping calm and staying connected
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now advises that you also cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face covering when you go out in public
. Recent studies show that even if you don't have symptoms, you may have the virus
and could spread it to others.
