Contrary to how it sounds, heart failure does not mean the heart has failed. Heart failure can occur when the heart does not pump blood properly or when the heart's chambers do not fill with enough blood. Heart failure is a lifelong condition that affects more than 5.7 million Americans.
CardioSmart has partnered with Mended Hearts to offer, “Managing Heart Failure: A Program for Patients and Caregivers.” This program will feature information on the importance of managing heart failure, including lifestyle changes, treatment options and medication. In addition, the program will focus on the significant role of the caregiver.
Lunch and parking validation will be provided. This program is free and open to the public. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
or call 202-375-6251.
