Atrial fibrillation is the most common heart rhythm disorder seen by doctors. It’s a big public health issue in terms of not only the sheer number of patients affected, but also by the fact that managing these specific arrhythmias (which is the medical name for heart rhythm problems) is expensive.
CardioSmart is partnering with the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) to deliver the Living with Atrial Fibrillation program for patients and caregivers. This program includes a series of live educational programs at health care institutions across the U.S. The educational sessions are delivered by cardiovascular care team members and occasionally supplemented by a patient story. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, and parking validation are provided at these sessions. The programs are free and open to the public.
