CardioSmart, the American College of Cardiology's patient education initiative, is hosting a live event for people living with congenital heart disease (CHD), their parents and caregivers on March 16 in Washington, DC.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with clinicians specializing in CHD and get support from others who are facing similar challenges.
“I am CardioSmart” contest winner Jacob Burris, a 14-year-old CHD advocate, and Jodi Lemacks, national program director for Mended Little Hearts, will talk about their experiences and share helpful resources for patients.
The evening begins with a “meet and greet” reception, which will be followed by dinner and the presentations.
