Did you know that stair climbing aids in weight loss and helps boost heart health? And unlike gyms, the stairs are often available to us 24/7 for free at home, work and many places in between. Take a step toward better health this month by taking the "Climb Where You Are" Challenge, a national stair climbing challenge to complement Brigham and Women's Hospital's ClimbCorps' upcoming ClimbAmerica! event.
ClimbAmerica! is a Boston climbathon being held on Jan. 26 by ClimbCorps to raise funds in the fight against heart disease. In partnership with ClimbCorps, CardioSmart challenges you to hit the stairs and join in on the fun! Through our "Climb Where You Are" challenge, we encourage you to track your steps online—whether at the gym, home or work—for a chance to win the grand prize and earn points that can be redeemed in the CardioSmart Store.
To take this challenge, use the stairs as often as possible and make at least 10 entries this month in your CardioSmart activity tracker. Click on the "Take the Challenge" button on the top right to get started!
